Welcome to the website of the Ondo State University of Science and Technology, (OSUSTECH) Okitipupa, Nigeria. The University is located at Okitipupa in the Southern Senatorial District of Ondo State Nigeria. The Governing Council of the University was inaugurated on 27th September, 2010 by the executive Governor of Ondo State and Visitor to the University, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko. Academic activities in the institution took off fully in January 2011 while the matriculation of the first set of students was held on Thursday 3rd of March 2011.
The University initially started with one Faculty, the Faculty of Science. The Faculty of Engineering and Engineering Technology, Faculty of Information and Communications Technology, Faculty of Earth Sciences and the Faculty of Agriculture, Forest and Aquatic Resources are planned to come on stream in the nearest future. OSUSTECH is a technology-based institution which aims at providing the needed manpower training in order to address the critical areas of industrial and technological development of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.
The Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH) will be a world class institution of higher learning that will attract and prepare intelligent and talented young men and women from diverse backgrounds within the State, Nigeria and beyond for all round training and development in science and technology. This will position them for scientific discovery and innovations that will positively impact on the society and influence the decision-making processes of the State and the country at large.
The motto of the University is “For Society and Development”.
2011/2012 Screening/Registration exercise for fresh students comes up Wed. 9th–Fri. 11th November, 2011 The University colours are marine blue and brick red. The marine blue colour represents sea/ocean which characterizes the physical environment of the location of the University while brick red colour symbolizes science and technology. The logo of the University consists of a shield containing an open book symbolizing knowledge, a wheel and laboratory materials depicting science and technology; all supported by a banner on which the motto of the University is inscribed.Vision
